Restitution Funds
The Rose Foundation has developed a specialized program to receive mitigation payments from litigation settlements. The funds support grants to community organizations in conformance with the nexus of the settlement.

Sacramento: Funds statewide research and advocacy to pressure the California Department of Toxic Substances Control to stop the controversial practice of granting hazardous waste variances. These variances allow hazardous waste to be legally disposed of at municipal landfills -- threatening community health at both the original waste site and at the landfill.
