Review Deadlines
The Grassroots Fund has an application deadline every 3 months. Applications must be postmarked on or before February 1st, May 1st, August 1st or November 1st. If the deadline falls on a Sunday or postal holiday, applications may be postmarked on the next business day. The deadline is a postmark deadline, so please don't spend a lot of extra money using an overnight delivery service. Applications received after a deadline will automatically be rolled over to the next grant round. E-mailed or faxed applications will not be accepted.
What Happens Next?
You will get an email or letter acknowledging your application. If your application was not complete, or if we need more information, we'll ask for it at that time. Applications are reviewed by staff and by a volunteer funding board. During review, we may call you with additional questions. The funding board usually meets 6 - 7 weeks after the application deadline. Notices of the funding decisions are mailed out within a week of the board meeting. If your application to the Grassroots Fund is approved, you will have a check in hand 6 to 8 weeks after the deadline date.
